Mason High School (MHS) is a four-year public secondary school located in Mason, Ohio, located north of Cincinnati, Ohio. It serves more than 2,600 students in grades 9 through 12, supported by classroom teachers, media specialists, technologists, administrators, counselors and an array of staff members, special educators, volunteers and aides.

Mason Schools are accredited by the North Central Association. MHS has recently built a new school that cost over 70 million dollars in an attempt to offer the best possible academic environment for students.

Secondary school is a term used to describe an institution where the final stage of compulsory schooling, known as secondary education, takes place. It follows on from primary or elementary education.

There are many different types of secondary school and the terminology used varies around the world.


Mason High School uses a trimester schedule. Three levels of achievement are recognized with the honor roll: B (3.00-3.29); B+ (3.3-3.69) and A (3.7-4.0). Exams are given three times a year over a two-day period.

Extra Curriculars :-------------------

More than 70 percent of students at Mason High School are involved in extracurriculars. As a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association and the Fort Ancient Valley Conference, Mason High School Athletic Department sponsors baseball, girls and boys basketball, girls and boys bowling, girls and boys cross country, cheerleading, football, girls and boys golf, girls gymnastics, girls and boys lacrosse, girls and boys soccer, girls fastpitch softball, girls and boys swimming, girls and boys tennis, girls and boys track, girls and boys volleyball, girls and boys water polo, and wrestling.

Other activities are superior music programs, including band and chorus, drama presentations, intramurals, broomball,special interest and honor clubs, and publications, such as The Comet Chronicle and Masonian, and dance team.
